These crispy rice paper rolls are one of those recipes that look much more complicated than they actually are. The outside becomes beautifully crisp in the air fryer, while the inside is filled with a creamy vanilla protein filling made with fresh cheese and Weider Protein 80 Plus Vanilla.
For this recipe, I used Weider Protein 80 Plus from GAZ Nutrition, a multi-component protein combining four protein sources: casein, milk protein isolate, whey protein and egg protein. One 30 g serving provides 24 g of protein, along with calcium and vitamin B6.

I love using protein powder in recipes like this because it turns a simple filling into something creamy, flavorful and protein-rich without making the recipe complicated. And the best part? You get that satisfying combination of a crunchy shell and soft vanilla filling in every bite.

Making the Rolls
I used special roll molds to shape the rice paper, but you can also make simple molds from aluminum foil.
Air Frying
Cooking time can vary depending on your air fryer. Start checking the rolls after 7–8 minutes. They should be golden and crispy.
Filling the Rolls
Let the rolls cool slightly before filling them. This helps keep the filling creamy and the rice paper crispy.
Serving
These rolls are best served immediately, as the filling will gradually soften the crispy rice paper.
