These Napoleon Burgers are not your typical burgers. A juicy beef patty, melted cheese, roasted peppers, pickles, onion, and homemade burger sauce are all wrapped inside soft homemade dough. The burgers are prepared on a Napoleon gas grill and finished on a pizza stone, giving the bread a beautiful golden-brown crust. They’re perfect for a weekend barbecue, summer gatherings, or whenever you want to make something a little different from the classic burger.
The Napoleon gas BBQ makes grilling quick, easy, and incredibly enjoyable. It heats up fast, offers excellent temperature control, and delivers perfectly grilled food every time.

Ingredients
For the Dough
For the Beef Patties
For the Burger Sauce
For the Filling
Instructions
-
Combine all the dough ingredients and knead until you have a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for about 40 minutes.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the beef patties. Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape the patties using a Napoleon burger press.
-
Grill the patties on the Napoleon gas grill until cooked through.
-
Make the burger sauce by mixing the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and finely chopped pickles.
-
Once the dough has rested, knead it briefly and divide it into 5 equal balls.
-
Flatten each ball and place a cooked beef patty in the center. Add the burger sauce, pickles, roasted pepper, cheese, and onion.
-
Carefully wrap the dough around the patty and filling, making sure to seal the edges well.
-
Brush each burger with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
-
Set up the Napoleon gas grill with the pizza oven attachment, pizza stone, and lid, and preheat it.
-
Place the burgers on the preheated pizza stone and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the dough is beautifully golden brown.
-
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Note
Why bake the burgers on a pizza stone?
The pizza stone gives the dough direct contact with a hot baking surface, helping the homemade bread cook evenly and develop a beautiful golden-brown crust.
Seal the dough well
This is especially important because the burgers contain a cooked patty, sauce, cheese, and vegetables. Make sure the edges are firmly sealed so the filling doesn't escape during baking.
Don't overfill them
It can be tempting to add lots of cheese and sauce, but too much filling can make the dough difficult to close and may cause it to open during baking.
Customize the filling
This recipe is easy to adapt. Try adding caramelized onions, bacon, jalapeños, mushrooms, or your favorite cheese.
Best served warm
These burgers are at their best while still warm, when the homemade bread is soft, the cheese is melted, and the filling is juicy.
