Ingredients

  • Ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp milk of choice almond, oat, cow’s milk, etc.
  • Optional: sweetener to taste honey, maple syrup, stevia, or erythritol

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Small saucepan
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Serving bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Add the ripe banana, cocoa powder, milk, and optional sweetener to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan. Heat on low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a gentle boil and thickens slightly (about 1–2 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and pour into a serving bowl.
  4. Let it cool to room temperature or place in the fridge for a firmer texture.
  5. Optionally sprinkle with extra cocoa powder before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a very ripe banana with lots of brown spots for maximum natural sweetness and creaminess.
  • For a thicker pudding, cook a little longer or add an extra ½ tbsp cocoa powder.
  • Works great with plant-based milks – perfect vegan option.
  • Add a pinch of salt or a drop of vanilla extract for richer flavor.
  • Best served chilled after 30–60 minutes in the fridge.
  • Stores well in the fridge (covered) for up to 2 days.
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, banana slices, chia seeds, or a dollop of yogurt.
